The Payson Classical Music Association, Inc. acquired a license from the Federal Communications Commission in 2001. 98.5 FM broadcasts 24 hours a day, playing musical favorites from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, attracting a listening age range from 35-65.

Over the past few years the board members, emphasizing that teamwork was the only way to succeed in their mission, have worked diligently to attract associates with the same desire to serve our local non-profits; fostering volunteering throughout our community while still having fun.

The board attributes the radio station’s explosive growth and popularity to the contributions of every team member working together to succeed.

January 1, 2007 the board of directors reached another of their goals; to give monetarily back to the community. Ten percent (10%) of the weekly Trivia Challenge show total is donated by the board to that week’s recipient.

KCMA will continue following our mission to enrich, embrace and educate the community. KCMA is a 501C-3 non-profit community radio station and encourages individuals, organizations and businesses to join in underwriting and supporting their efforts.
